The British-inspired tea party was held in celebration of Pura’s US launch
in Walmart USA, which took place on 6 June.
Held at the home of Anna Polonsky, mummy and creative director, and her
husband celebrated restauranteur Fernando Aciar, the event was co-
hosted by Lucie Fink fellow mummy and renowned creator.
The guest list included journalists from Vogue, Time, The Daily Mail, The
New Yorker, The Strategist and The Fast Company as well as some of
NYC’s most influential mums in business and their children.
And everyone had oodles of fun!
Playtime
While the adult attendees mingled with the Pura team and got to learn
more and about our mission, Pura’s youngest guests enjoyed a messy
painting activity in the backyard, run by Union Square Play. Heaps of Pura
wipes were needed to clean up paint-splattered hands afterwards!
Pura change area
We supplied ample Pura wipes and nappies (diapers in the US) so that
guests and their little ones had the opportunity to truly experience Pura’s
eco-friendly and skin safe wipes and nappies at the baby changing
station.
Time for tea
Adults and children were served a British-inspired afternoon tea created
by Fernando. Brooklyn based floral designers Entriken Studios supplied
stunning floral arrangements, sourced sustainably from local markets,
which were placed throughout the space and admired as people sipped
tea and chatted.
Pura Parenting
Guests were encouraged to treat themselves to Pura goodies from a
specially created Takeaway Shop, which also included other parenting
items from invent sponsors. As a further keepsake of the special day,
guests were also invited to have portrait shots taken with their children by
renowned photographer Tory Williams.

Pura founder and CEO Guy Fennell said: “It was wonderful to share Pura’s
vision with so many of New York’s influential parents and journalists who
will help us spread the message to parents that eco-friendly baby care can
be high quality and doesn’t have to cost the earth.
A huge thank you to Anna and Fernando for opening up their home for the
party and also to Lucie for co-hosting the event. It was great fun.”
