Every year on April 22, over a billion people come together to celebrate Earth Day.
The very first Earth Day took place in 1970, when a US senator organized a national demonstration to raise awareness about environmental issues.
That same year, the U.S. government responded by creating the Environmental Protection Agency. By 1990, Earth Day had grown into a global movement celebrated by more than 140 countries around the world.
Fast forward to 2025, and this year’s Earth Day theme Your Planet, Your Power reminds us that even small changes can add up to make a big difference.

Recycled Art Projects
